The Art of Structure

The art of structures. A bridge. An office building. University football stadium. School. They all are a form of art. A bridge relies on the form of arches, truss work or any other exposed geometric forms. The form work of a building, the skeleton of steel, wood and concrete are in and of themselves are a form structural art work. And though they are encased with architectural facades, their structural art form still exist.

Their pleasing form leaves many with a sense of awe, wondering how they made that work. Some forms derive themselves from pure functionality such as a warehouse, data center, pipe trestle at an industrial plant and so on. A warehouse may just be a box style structure. A pipe trestle eventual look abused from use, but deep within there is an art form.

Wander and wonder someday at the beauty of the art of structure.
